In light of diabetes awareness day yesterday, here is an article explaining all the benefits of exercise and how it can help with diabetes!
Regular exercise – >150 min per week (recommended) should also be implemented for people with type 1 diabetes.
With diabetes there is special considerations to take to make sure it is safe and effective!
Take blood glucose levels before exercise – this will help to choose exercises type as each have a different effect on blood glucose levels as well as delayed onset hypoglycaemia.
